Speech and Music Extension

WHAT
Small Basic extension to speak text and play musical notes.

WHERE

HOW
Download the 'SpeechMusic' zip archive, containing dll, xml and API.
Copy the DLL into a 'lib' folder you create in the Small Basic's installation directory.
Copy the XML intellisense help into the same 'lib' folder.
The 'lib' folder is by default "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Small Basic\lib".

PRE-REQUISITES
DirectX is required to run this extension, and the DirectX SDK to build the C# project using Visual C# 2008 Express if you want to rebuild or modify the source.

Simple API rtf added. The 'not working with XP' issue may require DirectX updates to work.
Otherwise why not download the C# project and Visual Studio C# Express (all free) and have a go compiling and adding to it yourself.

Some have found it doesn't work with XP (Direct X not installed), I have Vista and built it with that.
The Visual C# 2008 Express project is also uploaded.
